Workshop in La Escuela Bolera
(Anna Karin Ståhle)

In this workshop we will explore the style and techique of La Escuela Bolera: a style, a training system and repertoire in a Spanish style that emerged at  the end of the 18th century. In the workshop we will work with the Pericet School, the most famous Escuela Bolera School still existing today and a short sequence from a dance. Anyone who knows how to play castanets is welcome to bring their own and play in the class, but it is not a prerequisite for the workshop and there won’t be any specific castanet training.
