Ken Pierce, USA

originally trained in ballet and modern dance, has been teaching for many years in Europe, Canada and the USA. His choreographies and reconstructions have been shown at festivals from Copenhagen to Vancouver.

In 1991 he directed the reconstruction and performance of the baroque comedy “Le Mariage de la Grosse Cathos” at the Amherst Early Music Festival. He is the director of the Ken Pierce Baroque Dance Company and has performed extensively with other historical dance companies on both sides of the Atlantic. He also directs the historical dance program at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.

Dance & History e.V. is a non-profit registered association based in Germany. Our objective is to promote research and the dissemination of knowledge in the field of historical dance. We work together with similar organisations in Europe and America.
