Alan Jones
Alan Jones comes from New York and studied baroque dance with Wendy Hilton, but soon developed his own personal style with a special focus on the late 18th century. He has choreographed El Sarao de Venus and Charpentier's Les Arts florissants (New York Baroque Dance Company), El Bayle de los reyes and Stradella's Cantata per il santissimo Natale (Artek, New York), as well as the Peruvian opera Venid, venid, deidades (Ex Machina, Minneapolis) in the USA. He currently lives in Paris and is working on a history of ballet and pantomime in America and its European roots in the period 1782 - 1812 (Photo: S. Witherspoon).
