For Barbara Sparti (1932 - 2013)
With our next Symposium we would like to honour Barbara Sparti, one of the leading dance researchers of the 20th century, who died in 2013. In keeping with the central emphasis of her research activities, the highly diverse dance culture of Italy – from the final phase of the Middle Ages to the time of the Risorgimento ‒ is to be the main theme of the Symposium.

The countdown has started!
Only 535 days till the beginning of the next Symposium in Burg Rothenfels on 25th May, 2016.
A short time ago, our new expert committee took up the preparatory work. For this, we succeeded in enlisting such renowned personages as Alessandro Pontremoli (Rome), Carol Marsh (Washington), Irene Brandenburg (Salzburg) and Veronique Daniels (Basel).
